Making an EPIC(ECFMG) Account
Electronic Portfolio of International Credentials (EPIC)
EPIC is a service provided by ECFMG (Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates) based in Philadelphia(USA)
You must have an EPIC Account for Medical Council of Ireland & GMC Registration
Its an Organization which verifies your International Degrees and Certificates after which they are acceptable by Foreign Institutions and Authorities

To establish an EPIC account, you must submit basic personal information, details about your medical education, details about your medical licensure and documents to confirm your identity such as Passport and Recent Passport Size Photograph.
The application should take approximately 15 minutes to complete.
If you are unable to answer all items in one session or if you leave the request for any reason, your request will not be saved and you will be required to begin a new request when you return. Therefore, we recommend that you gather all of the above information, including your scanned passport and photo, prior to beginning
You should have the FOLLOWING AVAILABLE :
- A scanned, full-color copy of the photograph page of your current, unexpired passport (see Confirming Your Identity with EPIC for complete guidelines)

- A scanned, full-color copy of the page that contains your passport expiration date
- A scanned, full-color copy of the section of your passport that is in Latin characters
- A full-color photograph of yourself (see Confirming Your Identity with EPIC for complete guidelines)

- Information about your medical education, including your medical school identification number (if applicable) and attendance and degree issue dates;
- Your medical licensure information, including any identification numbers;
- Your USMLE/ECFMG Identification Number (if you have one); and
- Your ECFMG International Credentials Services (EICS) Identification Number (if you have one).
Once your application is received and after your completed request is processed including payment, you will receive an e-mail about confirmation that your EPIC account has been established. The e-mail will include instructions on how to access your EPIC Portfolio to complete the EPIC Identification Form. Once your completed form has been received at ECFMG, you will be able to begin adding credentials related to medical education, training, and licensure to your EPIC portfolio.
After making an EPIC account(After adding details and Pictures etc)
After few days You will receive a date time for video call for confirmation that its you actually, After that in about 48 hrs your account will activated
- Add all the Medical Councils/Authorities you would like to send/see your Medical Credentials anytime in Future like GMC,AMC, Medical Council of Ireland,Canada,USA,Health Authority of Abu Dhabi (HADD),Dubai Health Authority(DHA) etc etc
- Also When you are asked that should the Report of Your Credential thats verified be Sent/Automatically sent to Health Authorities;choose NO,Because when you are applying for Registration/or When the Health Authority ask you regarding the report,then send it from the Reports tab of your EPIC account
- 1 Report for each Credential Verified is free,for a second report you have to Pay extra
Then you will add your Medical Degree for Verification
After you do that You also have to upload Experience Certificate(House-Job) you get from PMC/PMDC
