A General for Everyone and a Complete Guidance for Registering with Medical Council of Ireland ( General Category)

*IMP TO CHECK*

1. Is your Medical College Qualification acceptable by Medical Council of Ireland
2. Is your Country Internship/House-job acceptable to Medical Council of Ireland
3. Required Internship/House-job Duration and Specialities ( MOSTLY at least 3 months General Medicine or Medicine in General and Similarly for General Surgery or Surgery in General
4. Do you have a Valid IELTS / OET ( Check latest IELTS/OET requirements however usually its 6.5 in each and 7 overall in IELTS and B grades in all 4 domains in OET)
5. Have you done EPIC Verification of Medical Degree
6. Have you made an Experience Certificate of your House-job by your country Medical Council and is it Also EPIC Verifed
7. You need above two documents EPIC verified if you are going for General Registration Post Internship

PLAN

Step 1

1. Check above all, if All are available and fine like acceptable to IMC
2. Make EPIC account ( see my EPIC POST)
3. Verify Degree and Internship Experience Certificate by EPIC ( Dont send report now)

Step 2 ( all these will be later sent by courier)

Colour photocopies front back if print on both side of a document with Complete notarization 4–5 Stamps

1. Exp cert
2. OET/IELTS
3. Passport first 4 pages On 1 page
4. KMU degree/Medical Degree
5. Application letter( you get 1 day after you apply online on IMC website)

Step 3

Online Application for Registration with Medical Council of Ireland(Application cover letter you get 1 day after you apply online on IMC website)

Step 4

Good Standing Certificate to be sent to IMC by your respective Medical Council

Step 5 * Most IMP *

Attach all the documents in STEP 2 Send by DHL/Courier(Address for IMC ,its like kingram place etc etc) To reach within 1 months of online application to IMC.

Good standing certificate to be sent to IMC from Medical Council also to reach with in 1 month of online application

NOW send report of epic verified KMU/Medical degree and Experience Certificate to Medical Council of Ireland

TRACE the COURIER so it does reach and in Time

YOU WILL GET AN EMAIL from IMC regarding your Documents received and will take 6–8 weeks for assessment however it takes way more than that

i applied in oct 2020 and today is 16 Feb 2021 and haven't got registration probably because of COVID 19 and Backlog

NOW JUST WAIT

Procedure does look long and is long and time consuming but think it as 1 STEP at a TIME
